lisagrusonphoto040820161Dr. Lisa Gruson is a board certified dermatologist and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the New York University School of Medicine. She practices both medical and cosmetic dermatology, including laser procedures. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan with Phi Beta Kappa Honors. She then attended the New York University School of Medicine, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors and the Marion B. Sulzberger Dermatology Award. She completed her residency training in dermatology at the New York University Medical Center, where she was selected as chief resident and received the Morris Leider Award for excellence in dermatology.

Dr. Gruson has published numerous articles and presented at local and national meetings in the field of dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of many medical societies including the American Contact Dermatitis Society, the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York, and the New York State Medical Society. In addition, as a Clinical Assistant Professor, she actively teaches NYU dermatology residents and is the advisor to medical students seeking to pursue a career in dermatology. Dr. Gruson has a special interest in skin allergies.
